Donation Guidelines
1. Save seed only from your best and healthiest plants.
2. Make sure seed is dry and clean of chaff.
3. Only return seed from the plants that you know how to save properly. We suggest you try germinating them to ensure you are contributing viable seeds for others.
Once you have collected seed from your crops, set aside some for yourself and some for the library in clearly labeled envelopes. Information on the label should include the following or complete this form. Note: This form is not needed if dropping off seeds in the original manufacturer's package.
1- Plant Name
2- Year seeds were harvested
3- Designate if easy, difficult, or advanced to propagate
Drop off your labeled seeds in the seed donation box in the library lobby. We will process them and add back in to the collection for others to share.
We also accept donated commercial seeds leftover from packets. We ask that all donated seeds not be much over a year old for germination success.
